About Telopea
I am a retired bank manager of Australian origin, hence the name 'Telopea'
or Waratah, which is the floral emblem of the state of New South Wales.
I came into gardening and garden design late in life, following a life-long
passion for gardens and an artistic flair.
I retrained at Capel Manor College Enfield, part time over several years,
in amenity horticulture and garden design, whilst gaining hands-on experience
with a number of private clients.
I work all year round on maintenance and design projects; I am generally
available to undertake any design and build projects within a fifty mile
radius of my home in South Cambridgeshire.
I design and plant all gardens myself. Depending on the size and scope
of the work involved I may sub-contract elements to other specialist
trades, such as the hard construction of paths, patios and decking.
Aftercare is important to the success of a planting scheme. Maintenance
contracts for six months or more can be arranged as part of a design
package.
